Die Drehorte

The television series The Persuaders had a very large budget, which is why it was not shot entirely in the studio or around the studio. In order to give the series a suitable portrayal of the roles of the main characters, scenes were shot at locations frequented by the High Society.

Thus, actors Sir Roger Moore (played Lord Brett Sinclair) and Tony Curtis (played Danny Wilde) and the production staff spend over a month in the south of France filming beautiful and exotic landscapes and impressions. Locations were accordingly alongside Cannes and Nice and Monte Carlo.

Subsequently, the crew returned to England to begin filming at Pinewood Studios about 30 miles west of London. The Pinewood Studios got their name because of their location between the pine forests called in English Pinewood.

Additional exterior shots were shot in both Paris and Rome. Through this and the aforementioned exterior scenes, the series got its sophisticated touch, on the one hand, of course, to fit the cinematic background of the protagonists, and on the other hand, certainly, to please the audience.

Many of the gambling scenes were shot in England in Buckinghamshire. In London, among others, the Downing Street (official residences of the Prime Minister and Chancellor of the Exchequer), Whitehall (the government district) and Fleet Street were (home of the British press) scenes of action.

Outdoor recordings were shot even in the famous seaside resort of Brighton. Here, some of the scenes of an episode played on the beach of the now-defunct West Pier and also some footage of the city of Brighton were shot and processed.
