The Files of Jeffrey Jones was a series about New York private investigator Jeffrey Jones, who got his law degree through his work as a part-time private investigator. Don Haggerty played the role of Jeffrey Jones.

 

The series was a spin-off of the series The Cases of Eddie Drake, also starring Don Haggerty. Jones was a former GI. Since he had no money, he also had no office. Contacts seeking to speak with him needed to meet him in the Golden Bubble Bar Cafe.

 

He did not drink any alcohol and always replied: "No, thank you, Joe. I’ll take a cup of coffee as usual." The said Joe was played by Vince Barnett. Sometimes Jones was also helped by his girlfriend, Michele "Mike" Malone, portrayed by Gloria Henry, in solving different cases.

 

Tris Coffin playing Lt. Doyle in a supporting role. The series was cancelled after 39 thirty-minute episodes. It was directed by Lew Landers, produced by Lindsley Parsons and written by Dwight V. Babcock.
