The Brothers Brannigan

(USA, 1960)

The Brothers Brannigan was a TV series from the early sixties dealing with the cases of Mike and Bob Brannigan. Steve Dunne played the role of Mike and Mark Roberts portrayed Bob.

Bob and Mike Brannigan were siblings and worked in Phoenix, Arizona, as private investigators. Their cases often involved insurance fraud, theft, divorce, or even murder.

Since they were both still bachelors, they went out wherever their work allowed it. Of course, they also gladly flirted with the ladies. The two were very different, Bob was the more professional and more serious of the two. His brother Mike, however, usually had some trouble with women.

As usual, there was some noticeable sibling rivalry between the two brothers. They shared a large, luxurious apartment with staff. Unfortunately enough, the rivalry between the brothers was not sufficient to aid the weak manuscript of the series, and it was therefore cancelled after only 39 thirty-minute episodes/

The series was produced by Wilbur Stark and Jerry Layton as a Brad-Jacey Production.
