Hawaiian Eye

(USA, 1959 -1963)

The scene of the detective series Hawaiian Eye was the beautiful landscape of Honolulu. The series dealt with the cases of Hawaiian private investigators, attractive and tough detectives Thomas Jefferson Lopaka, played by Robert Conrad, and Tracy Steele, played by Anthony Eisley, a Korean War veteran and a former policeman.

The two had their office in the Hawaiian Village Hotel, where they also worked as in-house detectives. The two were occasionally assisted by the funny taxi driver named Kazuo Kim, portrayed by Poncie Ponce, who plays the Ukulele.

Many of his relatives, willing to help the two detectives if necessary, live all across the island.

The two detectives also received help from nightclub singer and photographer Chryseis "Cricket" Blake, played by Connie Stevens. Of course, the two also had a contact in the police force, namely Lt.. Danny Quon, played by Mel Prestidge, who was always keen to help the detectives solve a case.
