Warrick Brown

The Las Vegas born and raised Warrick Brown had lived since the age of seven with his grandmother. He never knew his father.

As a teenager he worked as a casino messenger and during his time at college, he drove a taxi, sold helicopter sightseeing flights over the Grand Canyon and has even worked as a gravedigger. Warrick is a graduate of the University of Las Vegas Chemistry Department.

Warrick Brown (played by Gary Dourdan) has talent in the field of music - he plays the piano very well and writes his own songs. After finding his way to the Las Vegas Crime Lab, the specialist became responsible for offering audio-visual solutions for Gil Grissom’s analysis team.

Early in his career in the television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Warrick Brown was still addicted to gambling, which made ??him vulnerable to blackmail. One day he was being blackmailed by his gambling addiction to manipulate a case on which he was working.

A rapist was acquitted due to his manipulations, which led to the murder of his colleague, Holly Gribbs. He turns to his supervisor, Gil Grissom, who helps him to overcome his addiction.

Warrick abhors injustice, and since Holly's death, the very talented and highly motivated crime scene investigators put more effort into his work. Gil Grissom knows as head of the night shift that Warrick does his job very well and that he can rely on him. The handsome Warrick approaches his work very emotionally, which sometimes causes him problems. Additionally, he has made quite embarrassing mistakes that also got him into trouble. Nevertheless, he goes about his job very professionally and is not in any way inferior to his colleagues.

His knowledge of the bars and casinos of Las Vegas often benefit the dedicated crime scene investigators, because he still has connections there, which he sometimes uses to gather information concealed to others, that can positively influence the investigation.

Although the relationship between Warrick Brown and his colleague Nick Stokes was initially very competition oriented, the two were good friends. Sometimes it happens that Warrick is heavily loaded by a case, so the risk arises that he pursues his gambling addiction again. His friend Nick helps him in such cases, and keeps him from momentous errors.

Warrick Brown is a very ambitious person who does not reside long with laurels, but immediately takes the next target in attack. Contrary to his friend Nick Stokes, Warrick has never been on a date or in a relationship. Warrick surprised the team by marrying his girlfriend Tina without telling anyone about it. She works as a nurse. At the beginning of the eighth season the two separate again, however.

At the end of the eighth season, the team has to deal with a very serious case, at the conclusion of which thes friends and colleagues meet in their local cafe for breakfast. Then everyone goes their separate ways and Warrick goes to his car to drive home. As soon as he sits in the car, a police officer knocks him down with the passenger door. Warrick opens the window and then gets shot by the corrupt policeman.

Warrick's death is a severe blow for his friends and colleagues, both emotionally as well as a loss for the team. The murderer could be captured, but it changes nothing, of course. Warrick’s colleagues later find out that Warrick has a son.
