... so that you know... who... where... when & why...

Nick Stokes

Nick Stokes come from a wealthy Texas family of lawyers - his father is a judge, his mother a lawyer - and has six older siblings. In his childhood, he was abused by his nanny, but he seems to have successfully overcome it.

For his parents’ sake, Stokes studied law but transferred to the police after graduation, where he worked for three years at the Dallas police. Subsequently, he was trained for evidence analysis and crime scene analysis, hair and fiber being is his specialty.

After working for a year at the Forensic Laboratory of Dallas, he was transferred to the Las Vegas Crime Lab, where his new field of work was in Gil Grissom’s team in the television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and he dedicated himself to his technical and forensic investigative work.

The mostly upbeat Nick Stokes (played by George Eads) shows, both his colleagues and his work, full commitment. He takes his work very seriously, and the work he completes and his investigations meet the approval of his superiors.

Following his ambition, he is determined to reach the first place in the list of clarified crime as soon as possible, which is why there was a highly competitive oriented relationship between him and his colleague Warrick Brown at first.

Over time this changed, however, so the two are now best friends. However, this friendship has not prevented Stokes from high excitement when he has reached the rank of CSI Level 3 before his friend Warrick did.

Nick Stokes is always a pretty funny man, so his colleague Greg Sanders can always expect that he would have something funny up his sleeve. In any case, Nick's humour is refreshing for his colleagues.

Nick Stokes is married and single, but due to his good looks, however, has more or less long affairs and is therefore regarded as a notorious womanizer by his colleagues. They would definitely see him become involved in a love triangle.

The right one has not yet come into his life, so Nick will continue being unmarried and single, which has, so far, led to one or more heartbreaks.

His stories about women are often quite shaking. He once spent a night with a prostitute whose body was found the next day.

Despite his good looks and charm in the course of the series, some events lead to high loads. In an episode, an offender breaks into into Nick Stokes house and equips it with cameras and microphones, which enable him to see everything that happens in Stokes' house from the attic.

Quentin Tarantino directed the double episode Grave Danger, in which Nick is first kidnapped and then buried alive. He was also attacked by fire ants in this episode.
