Lindsay Monroe

Lindsay Monroe (played by Vanessa Ferlito) was born in Bozeman, Montana and grew up there as well. As it becomes known later in the series CSI: NY, Lindsay was the witness of a murder during her high school days.

She was with her friends in a cafe that evening. She visited the restroom and heard gunshots. Through a crack in the door, she could catch a glimpse of the culprit. Paralyzed with fear, Lindsay slammed the door of the cafe bathroom shut and left shortly after.

She found her friends and the staff dead in the lounge of the cafe. Since she was the only one who could identify the perpetrator as sole survivor, she had to testify in a trial several years later. This experience led to her ??work in the Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) in Montana after college, where she worked for three years.

After the dismissal and the death of Detective Aiden Burn, she was transferred to CSI: New York. She quickly shares a friendship with her colleague, Danny Messer. He gives her the nickname of Montana, which is how she is frequently addressed. She also has a good relationship with her supervisor, Mac Taylor. Together with Danny, she sometimes visits the bar in which Mac plays with his band.

In the course of the episodes, the friendly feelings between her and Danny Messer develop into something more. The two fall in love. Finally, the two get married after Lindsay announces she is pregnant.

A difficult time begins for both of them when her husband, Danny, is seriously injured after the birth of their child and it is not yet clear whether he will ever walk again. One night she wakes up and the bed is empty. She is overjoyed when she comes into the nursery, and sees her husband standing next to the crib.

Lindsay Monroe Messer is an ambitious, conscientious woman and dedicated forensic scientist. She kneels down into their work and does not accept partly satisfying investigation results.

In addition, she is always willing to learn something new, and is also very inquisitive. Besides her work for the CSI: NY, her family is most important in life.
