Richter Fulton

The retired Judge Fulton (played by Lawrence Naismith) is to blame for the investigations sought by the rich English playboy Lord Brett Sinclair and the somewhat richer American oil tycoon and playboy Danny Wilde.

After a fight in the bar of a luxury hotel in Monte Carlo, the two playboys face a prison sentence of 90 days. The retired judge saves the two protagonists from prison, posing the condition that they would assist him in the investigation of crimes cases.

As a bare prison cell, of course, does not compete with luxury hotel suites and the catering in such establishments can rarely keep up with those of a good restaurant, the decision is quite easy for two playboys, so they agree.

Certainly, the idea of such a long period without any contact with the fair sex, was also helpful in Sinclair and Wilde giving their fast consent to the gentlemen's agreement.
