Storyline
The two millionaires Lord Brett Sinclair and Danny Wilde find the corpse of a young woman in a bay on the French Riviera. The results of the police investigation, however, indicate that it is
dancer Julie Blake, who died in an accident.
The two, however, do not believe in suicide make their own investigations. They find out that Julie has visited the rich Lanning Koestler at his estate shortly before her death. When asked, Koestler tells them that he had an affair with the dancer and she had blackmailed him with it.
After confessing the infidelity to his wife, the subject of extortion no longer existed, so the blackmailer had left the property alive. And with the jump of the victim, it seems as if the millionaire would not have had a motive to kill Julie Blake, making it appear as if he was no longer suspicious.
The two do not yet believe in the innocence of the wealthy ex-lover and secretly penetrate into the house to search for clues. They find a strange record.
