Robin Masters

Robin Masters is a writer who breaks sales records with his revealing novels and books and has thereby deservingly earned large sums of money.

The author travels the world in his private jet, with stops in cities such as Paris or Venice, Zurich or any other place that interests him and owns several properties around the world. Apart from Robin's Nest, his estate in Hawaii, these include also Robin’s Keep, a castle near London. Also an estate in the south of France is part of his property.

Masters is a very generous person, who supports various organizations, and also a very pleasant employers. Magnum, who is working as head of security on his luxury estate in Hawaii may, for example, use his Ferrari 308 GTS and occupied the guest house of the estate completely free.

Masters also collects art objects, his collection being estimated at over 37 million dollars in an episode.

Since Robin Masters face cannot be seen in any episode, his identity is still unknown. In some episodes of the series, although his silhouette is visible, his face is not. Although some facts show otherwise, Magnum repeatedly claims that Higgins and Masters are the same person. Higgins is a writer and has only made up the travel-loving Robin Masters to live in peace.

The best arguments against this hypothesis is that Higgins has spent a weekend on a remote island during one of the episodes and has only been reachable through a short-wave transmitter, while Robin Masters calls on the red phone and announces that he is on the way to Robin’s Nest in the company of some guests.

At this time, Higgins is, however, already on the island. It can also be heard in several episodes that Masters is dictating a new novel while sitting on the plane and the background sounds actually prove this.

The voice of Robin Masters can be heard in some episodes. In the original version, he was voiced by Orson Welles. In the German dubbing, Mario Adorf and Friedrich Schutter took over this part, with Mario Adorf synchronizing the RTL sequences and Friedrich Schutter the ARD ones.
