... so that you know... who... where... when & why...

Tim Speedle

Tim Speedle was born in 1973 in Little Jamaica in Queens, the largest borough of New York City. His academic and professional career led him from his birthplace located on Long Iceland to CSI: Miami and unfortunately little is known about his life in the area.

The motorcyclist, who has a much cooler motorcycle than a car, is an expert in forensic and crime scene evidence, and is in the course, among others, responsible for crime scene photos. He reads very much, so the word bookworm becomes one of his adjectives. His passion for motorcycling, has earned him the nickname Speed by his colleagues.

Tim Speedle (played by Rory Cochrane) is close friends with Eric Delko, but we do not know exactly what their friendship was based on. When dealing with work equipment, Speed is often very careless. He maintains his machine in improper order, so he notices in the first season that his gun does not work, which fortunately did not lead to bigger problems this time.

He even quarrelled with his colleagues because of his lax handling of his job. When he realized again that his flashlight did not work, he borrowed one from Calleigh Duquesne. But her refusing to caused a little problem.

When Calleigh needed her lamp at her next job, however, and found that the batteries were empty, she was initially confused because this is not something that usually happens to her. However, when it turns out that Speed ??had borrowed the lamp and forget to recharge it, Calleigh is naturally furious, which leads to tension between the two.

This neglect is also reflected in his general attitude. Tim Speed ??gives the constant impression that is doing just any job, yet he does his job very well. And even if Speed is often very careless, this hardly decreases his popularity among his colleagues and no one can stay angry for long.

At the beginning of the third season, however, his negligence almost cost him life when he was shot in a shootout. As it turned out, his weapon failed to fire due to lack of care. The experience in the first season should have made Speed rethink his approach but the phlegmatic Speed did not see it as a reason to change his behaviour.

His colleagues and especially his friend Erik Delko are deeply affected by Tim Speedle's death, including his superior, Lieutenant Horatio Caine. Speed ??returns returns in an episode of the series, in which he appears as a ghost to his friend Eric Delko. In this hallucination Speed helps him solve the current case.
